Superpoints - My Favorite place to make extra money.

Since I am out of work I try to find things to make extra money in my spare time.  One of my favorite places is Superpoints.  I saw many bloggers posting links in the summer of 2011 and always wondered what it was about.  I finally joined in July 2011.

It is free money, it takes very little time to take your spins on the Super Lucky Button.

Some things bloggers don't tell you about.  When you join you, and are Basic level (joining with profile completed), you get 30 spins a day.  Which isn't bad but at 'Basic' you cannot cash out until you reach 2500 points.  That could take awhile.

The next level is Gold, you need 2 friends to join under your unique referral link, with Gold you get 50 spins a day and you can cash out at 1000 points!  That doesn't take near as long as it did with Basic.

The last level is Platinum, that is 5 friends joining under you.  With Platinum you get 100 spins a day, cash out is 500!  Also, if you find friends to join using your referral link you get points when they do.  I average minimum $10 a month.  That is with 5 friends joining but not much spinning coming from them.  I'm happy with 10 a month.  Just think how much you could make if you had friends join that DID spin every day!

Now I'll be honest, not every day is a good spin day but the good definitely outweighs the bad. Again, it is FREE money, takes very little time.

Superpoints also has surveys you can take, videos you can watch and offers you can do to make extra points.

One last thing.  If you cash out by Sunday evening you will get paid by Wed. at the latest!  Very quick turn around!

If you want to see what it is all about please join me and start making some extra cash!  It is never too early to start saving money for Christmas!

Christmas is the time for giving.

I have heard that throughout the years but learned it first hand today.

I am part of a mommy group that have 4 year olds born in July.  It came to our attention that one of our mommies needed help, she was down on her luck, no money for Christmas, no presents for her kids.  We all jumped to her aid.

I always buy too much for the kids in the family I knew I had extra. I have a small stockpile of house hold items also. A list ran through my head all night, thinking of things I needed to gather in the morning, it was already so close to Christmas and I didn't want to put it off in chance it wouldn't make it in time.  Anyone who knows me knows I'm the biggest procrastinator, I put anything and everything off as long as possible but this couldn't be put off.

In the morning I ran through and grabbed everything I mentally made a list of.  Boxed it up and ran to the local UPS store. I had never been to the UPS store so I had no idea what to expect, other than I expected 50 people to be there doing the same thing I was there for, shipping off a Christmas present.  To my surprise there was only 1 other person there and 1 free UPS employee to help me!  My box was stamped, delivery was paid for as I turned for the door I said, Merry Christmas, the employee returned the words and said it as he was surprised I had said it to him. As I headed for the door I felt my eyes fill with tears and they ran down my face as I walked back to my van.  While I'm not happy my friend is in this predicament it felt so good to be able to send her something I hope she will find of some use.

My first few months of drugstore couponing.

I just started couponing around the middle of March 2011.  My sister started bragging about all of the money she was saving so I thought I would give it a try.  I read blogs, match ups and decided to start with Walgreen's.    I don't remember what I bought the first shopping trip but I remember I ended up with about 15 total RR.  I do remember my 2nd trip, I went unprepared. I hadn't yet figure out what 'fillers' were, I didn't make a list, I didn't right down numbers.  I put my items on the counter, the cashier started ringing them up, I handed him the coupons, got my total and started handing him my RR, for some ungodly reason I handed low to high.  Remember what I said about 'fillers'? You got it, I didn't have enough, and by going low to high I lost out on a few bucks.  I still saved a bit but not near as I could.  I continued just doing my couponing at Walgreen's.  I didn't go every week but made sure to go ever other week so my RR didn't expire.

My sister suggested I try CVS, she has finally gotten up the nerve to go herself and she had a great shopping trip at CVS.  I wasn't ready, I was terrified at the thought.  I remember years ago someone on a website I frequent talked about CVS, what she came home with, how much she saved and it just didn't register in my brain, I couldn't wrap my head around it.  It had to be so complicated since I just didn't 'get it'.

I continued another month or so at Walgreen's.  I was getting fed up with their practices.  Most places, when they say 2/$5 mean $2.50 each.  Not Walgreen's.  They might have one for $4.99 and the other for $.01!  So if you have a buy 1 get one free coupon, also known as BOGO, you don't get the expected $2.50 off! I was so fed up the last time this happened  I decided it was high time I try CVS, as my sister suggested.  I read up more, made a list, found the closest one to me and headed out.  I had butterflies in my stomach, I was so scared to walk in there.  Thankfully my sister gave me a little run down on what to do, how the stores are usually laid out, so I wasn't going in 'totally' blind, although somewhat blind since this was my first trip inside a CVS.  I was practically sold the moment I walked in, I don't know many places where the customer gets a 'Hi' or 'Hello' when they first walk in.  I continued to shop at Walgreen's a couple more times but after seeing how easy CVS was, seriously folks this can't get any easier, I never went back to Walgreen's.  Okay, I went back 1 time, to spend my last $6.50 in RR, I bought 4 Diet Pepsi and never went back.  That was at least 2 months ago.  I don't read their match ups or their weekly ad.  I LOVE CVS.
